Breakfast by the Sea

Do you realize that everything we see and do here will be a million times better in the afterlife? That is, if we have Christ as our Lord and Saviour and if He is the One guiding our decisions in this life!

I’ve always been amazed at the stories of what Jesus did after He resurrected and met with His disciples, which he did for 40 days.  On one occasion, He actually made them breakfast by the sea!🙂

“When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

John‬ ‭21:0-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Doesn’t it blow your mind to think that all things created were created for His good pleasure, including us who are made in His image and likeness? We are like Him, except for our sinful nature.  All of the mistakes we’ve made (and make) get swallowed up in His loving arms as we draw close to and lean on Him. That, to me, is the ultimate peace.

‭‭“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

Colossians‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We laugh, we cry, and we have compassion. These are some of the attributes of our Creator.  Most people don’t think of God laughing. But, I believe He does, especially when watching His children succeed and enjoy accomplishing good things in life.

I am so grateful for all He has done, is doing, and will do in my life and the lives of my family!  I pray that you will be filled with joy today as you too contemplate how much He loves you!  He has a great plan for your life and as we trust Him, He will lead our steps.

I myself absolutely love being at the beach, and of course, enjoy a good meal. So, I am looking forward to those breakfasts with our Lord one day. For now, waking and being with Him is enough for me.

I wish you all a wonderful summer filled with peace, laughter, and of course great summer fun together with your loved ones.
