Turtles are slow, but God moves at the perfect speed.

Yes, I know. It doesn’t help to hear this for those who have been waiting a long time, for their prayers to be answered. But be encouraged because there is a very specific purpose in the waiting.

Have you ever thought back over some of the situations you’ve prayed about and now see that it was answered perfectly and at the right time? Me too.

This doesn’t necessarily make this new “wait” easier, but it does give us hope and strength to hold on.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Discouragement can set in at times while waiting for answers

It can take a toll on our hope meter, and this can be a dangerous place to stay too long, as it can lead into depression. So we must stay in hope and not give up.

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Trees bring life in many ways. Just looking at them while walking can refresh our heart and mind and give us a new perspective on things.

We read here that God says that when the desire, or answers to our prayers come, it is a tree of life!

Here’s just a few things trees give…

Food ~ They grow fruits and nuts. Energy.

Oxygen ~ Trees use sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into fresh oxygen.

Clean air: Leaves and branches trap dust and tiny bits of pollution.

Shelter ~ They provide shade for us and is home for many different creatures

It’s amazing how many wonderful things are taking place each and everyday that we can’t see.

Now how long does it take for one tree to grow?

3 to 10 years, for a small tree and up to 30 years for others! God’s creation is in no hurry.

Everything grows slowly. Including the answers to prayers, most times. Remember, He is working it out with purpose.

God is not slow. He’s perfect. His answer to your prayers will be perfect and so will the timing.

I pray you will be strengthened today as you wait for Him.
