Good morning and Happy New Year ☃️
As the snow falls and covers all things, my prayer today is that all things fresh and new will cover every person dear to me this year. Not just to the loved ones in my life but to all people! May all sicknesses and sadnesses be covered and replaced with fresh new hope, new eyes to see, and new hearts to receive all that God has purposed for us!
He is the one who sends us the beautiful snow. And only in Him will we find true peace. I hope that all those who I love ❤️ will seek the Only One who can answer their hearts’ cry.
““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”Jeremiah 17:7 NIV
Some people look at the snow and only see the science behind it. To me, that is very sad. I, and many others, see a beautiful Creator at work. One who cares about us and provides everything we need while we are here on this earth. We will not be here for long. Whether you are a newborn or 100 years old, life is like a snowflake that melts as fast as it hits the ground. Why do people walk around arrogantly as though they can control their own destiny? If only we would stop and truly look within and see how absolutely fragile we are. Yet, stubbornness reigns most of the time!
Like this beautiful horse below, much work is needed to feed, groom, and train him, but afterward, he can be a wonderful friend to adults and children alike. They can even sit on his back and be taken for a joyful ride. Or, he can be a healing friend to handicapped children who cannot walk.
“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”Hebrews 12:11 NIV
How can anyone see the sheer beauty all around us every day and not see the beauty of our Creator? He has put part of himself into all He has made! Yet, we are His highest and most splendid creation. He breathed His own life into us!
“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”Genesis 2:7 NIV
I honestly can’t understand why it’s so difficult for people to believe that God breathed life into us when seeing all that is around us, especially now that we have so much more knowledge of how things work in the universe, the earth, and our incredible bodies! Science will never be able to truly and fully explain or satisfy the questions many people have about him and about life. That is where Faith is the only route to take.
God explains everything through the words he inspired men to write long ago, what we know today as the Holy Scriptures (Bible), and through his Son, Jesus, when we develop a personal relationship with Him.
Of course, we can choose to believe this or not. He will never force anyone to believe in Him or to love Him back. That’s our choice. Every single day of our lives we are given another chance to turn to Him and seek Him. We are not guaranteed this whole day either. We can die at any moment and we all know this. We just don’t want to think about it. Yet, if we do, it would bring total freedom from the things that drag our hearts down.
True joy is knowing the blessed hope of our future after this lifetime. It is knowing that we are safe, covered by His grace and that nothing can harm us or take us out of His Hand. It is knowing that we have a purpose and a reason for being alive right now!
To bring joy to my Father in Heaven is where I find my joy! To make Him smile is my purpose. My heart belongs to Jesus of Nazareth, in Him is the fullness of our Creator; He is the One and only true God!
