Hello friends and family.
Well…Things are getting pretty chaotic out there. It seems like so much is being taken away from all of us. Not just here in America but all over the globe. People’s past times, fun traditions, peaceful vacations, even a simple lunch in a restaurant is being affected. Life has shifted in ways we cannot understand. It’s time to be sober minded and see clearly what’s happening.
It seems that now more than ever before, we should be looking deeper within our hearts to see if our walk with Jesus is “right”; That He is our “first love”.
I use sticky notes all around the house but especially in my kitchen to help me with memorizing scriptures. On one of the notes I had jotted down the words “He” “She” & “They”. My son, Michael, asked why I had “pronouns” written on one of the notes. I explained a little bit to him about why without going into detail, but here’s why…
I was thinking and praying about a situation recently…..This was His answer; “Whenever you hear the words he, she, or they in a negative way, it is coming from the Accuser!”
I pray you meditate on this Scripture and understand in your heart this truth.
“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!
Revelation 12:7-12 ESV
Remember, we do not fight against flesh and blood (people). We have a spiritual enemy who seeks, every day, to make us as miserable as he can, but he can’t do anything without our approval. If and when we agree with his ways, we give him access to our thoughts, which then turn into actions. It all begins in our minds.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 ESV
God has given us the responsibility to fight. He’s given us everything we need as well and He loves when we obey because then we have the victory!
It’s ok to question things. It’s ok to ask God questions. It’s ok to be frustrated and even angry at times. What’s not ok is when we allow it to turn into a bitterness in our heart. That’s when we need to pull back and regroup our thoughts. Recently I’ve had to work through a very perplexing situation. Test. Test. Test. Everything is a test of how we will respond. Will we grow better. Or will we grow bitter. I’m happy to say I believe I’m passing this particular test. Maybe I’m at about an 85. Lol. I didn’t grow bitter! And, every time I’m tempted to bend toward that emotion, I submit it to God.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 KJV
So when I’m thinking or speaking to someone and hear myself say or think of these little pronouns, I stop, submit and resist, because I don’t want to be in agreement with the Accuser! He is very subtle, his thoughts and his words slip into our minds and conversations so easily. We think it’s ours but it’s not. We all do this at times. Maybe more times than less.
I do not want to be in agreement with the enemy and I don’t want to have this done to me either. Some people may call it Karma.
Jesus said it this way.,,
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 7:12 NIV
I’m so grateful for all of you!
Interesting truth🧡love it!
