This is just a quick testimony of one of the ways how God sometimes uses people to bring encouragement to lift our hearts.

I ran into Margie, a good friend of mine, while at Shoprite a couple of weeks ago. We used to work together. Let me tell ya, there were times when she was the only reason I’d show up each day.  She was an Angel sent to walk with me through a very stressful time.  What a joy she was. As soon as we saw each other, we would light up and laugh together. We discovered how much we had in common, from children, to faith, to health issues. Our friendship grew strong over the years. Although we don’t see each other very much anymore, it’s such a joy to know that we’ll always be friends and, best of all, sisters in Christ.  I was able to give one of the rescued kittens (read “Adopted”, a previous story I posted) to her daughter’s friend. Little baby is now a year old and spoiled with lots of love (she’s the little grey one). 😃

Running into each other was so much fun. We talked for about an hour, but it felt like 5 minutes. My conversations with her always feel so genuine, funny, and uplifting. I’m very grateful to have been given this friendship.  As we were talking, we realized how, yet again, we were walking similar paths.  Our children are now grown and we were discussing similarities within our families.  Even as we discussed the issues at hand, we were both filled with joy and hope for the future.  We’ve walked through many circumstances already and we that know God’s ways are not ours and that they are better!

We were interrupted many times during our conversation. It seemed as though everyone wanted whatever the candy was that we were parked in front of! Probably Hershey chocolate. LoL

Margie said something to me that truly lifted my heart that day. “Our tears as Mommas, are like prayers watering the seeds that were placed in their hearts when they were children.”  

I believe If we go into the day listening, watching, and expecting, God will show up, even in the candy section of the supermarket!
