Like a child.

Hello friends and family!

Grand pup

Sometimes the most difficult thing to do is  to “let go.” To trust and be still. To wait…patiently.

Have you ever prayed for something so long that you end up becoming discouraged? Have you ever felt like just giving up on praying about it because you begin to think that it’s just not going to happen? Or, you feel like God said no, but you missed it? I have.

But, now I look back and thank God that certain prayers didn’t come back as a yes! Lol.  It reminds me of how many children beg for things that will harm them. But, honestly, do we really think we know better than God? As I look at prayers still sitting in the “bin” waiting to be reviewed (lol. this is how we think at times, right?), I start to get sad, but then faith rises up quickly!  I am at peace because I have learned to lean on His beautiful WISDOM. I know He hears me. He’s not ignoring me. He is actually working all things out!

I realize I’ve gotten in His way many times before trying to do the work myself or by telling Him how to do it.  But I decided not to do that anymore. I know that His way is best. He has an amazing plan and I need to to focus on His instructions.

🍓The Fruit of patience takes a lot of trusting while waiting.

Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3-4)

Yes, we need quiet trust in our loving Father. However, this cannot be fully understood when, in some cases, there is so much disfunction in child/parent relationships. I can’t fix that, but what I can do is be your friend and tell you who fixed it my life. Jesus did! He is the answer to every single question you have. He’s the only One who can build a broken life over again. And as a friend, I can promise you that if you really speak to Him from that inner place in your heart, He will answer you and take over your life from there. He has done it for me and my husband and for hundreds of others.

He is the Great Carpenter!  The great Builder.

“Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.’ ‘How can someone be born when they are old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!’ Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.'” – John 3:3-5 NIV

It is a great mystery how God begins to rebuild our lives. He changes our hearts and gives us new sight. New hearing. New instincts. New hope!

I seek His Word for more and more faith, so I can rest and allow Him to orchestrate my life as He sees best. May all of us lean more closely to Him, now more than ever before.
