Hello friends and family!
I wanted to share a quick testimony.
I was at Dunkin Donuts a few months ago waiting to order my favorite coffee; A small iced latte, very little skim milk, lots of ice, extra espresso and lots of whipped cream. The girls serving definitely know my name by now! They are so sweet, especially Lara.
I remember that two young men were also waiting to order. One of them was obviously under the influence of something. I know because I’ve been around it enough and have experienced it myself.
I felt such a comfortable nudge to talk to them. It was as though they were my nephews or someone close to me that I cared about. I felt such a warmness in my heart towards them. So, I said something that opened up to a nice conversation with Keith and Bromchi. Oh, how I truly wanted to have a super power to let them personally see and experience all that I have witnessed walking with God for the past 30 plus years. But, how can you explain God’s love? How can you describe everyday life walking with the God in whom I believe; The One who has created the natural things we see, hear, touch, understand or better yet, DON’T understand?

His incredible love for me, for all of us, is beyond understanding. Yet, some might say, “Well, why do you still have problems?” or “Why don’t you have lots of material things?” or “Why did that happen to you?” and so on. They fail to understand that when we draw near to God, He promises to draw near to us! This is when we learn that His peace is the most precious gift we can ever obtain, especially in the midst of life’s challenges. I personally would not give up this peace for anything nor anyone else’s presence. No one else alive can pour the peace that passes all understanding into our soul, except Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 NIV
The truth is that as followers of Jesus, we should all truly desire only good for all people. We should desire for others to enjoy what we have been blessed with, especially His peace, which is an underserved gift from Him. God reaches out to people through those who are willing to share Him and are not afraid of being rejected. And though this can be difficult for many of us at times, we should be compelled to continue. Just as a parent who does not give up on their child, we should not give up on people we see hurting. But we must always remember that this is not from us, it is HIS love reaching out to those who will allow Him to work through our lives.
Back to Keith and Bromchi. I wanted them to see and hear what I have. A couple of years ago I was given a bag of little tiny bottles with a mustard seed in each one. So, I pulled out two of the bottles from my bag and gave one to each of the young men. I shared with them a part of my testimony and told them that a mustard seed size faith can remove mountains, even the mountain of addiction, if only they wanted it to be. Keith said he was going to put it in his chain around his neck. He said he had heard about Jesus before.

Recently, Bromchi and Keith were walking by the same Dunkin Donuts. I got to talk with them again for a little bit. We laughed and had a nice conversation. Very nice boys🙂. They will always be in my prayers. They are on my “list.”
How I pray for all of God’s creation to love Him back! For He is worthy of our love and thankfulness!
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Revelation 4:11 NIV
God Bless all of you. I pray you had a peace-filled Thanksgiving. We have so very much to be thankful for.
I suggest we make a list tonight of what and who we are thankful for and see how joy will fill our hearts! Thanks again for coming by and reading this post.
