Good morning friends!
I am so happy today. I was able to get to the foot doctor for my cortisone shot. I’ve been with constant pain in my heel since April. They say it’s Planters Fasciitis. It’s no small thing when your foot is constantly throbbing! Too much to do to just sit with a bag of ice all day. So, most of the time I have walked with this pain and with God’s grace I made it to this day. Now, after my treatment, walking with my husband in the mornings is so much more enjoyable. Anyway, I just wanted to share today’s joy with you guys.
I’m currently sitting in my car at the park, thanking God for His constant love. Looking up at the clouds and the beautiful trees all around me, I thought about how He takes such good care of us. The clouds give us water. The trees give us oxygen. Two gifts we could not exist without. Yet we sometimes take it for granted, don’t we?
I recently took a trip to North Carolina with my husband to visit my sons and daughter in law. The trees there are very old and very tall. Full of singing birds. Different kinds of birds. Not like Bayonne (my town) where you occasionally see a robin or a bluebird. The mornings at Michael’s house in NC are like a symphony of songs.
The Word of God tells us that there are trees in heaven that will give us eternal life.
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.”
Revelation 22:1-3 ESV
This is what awaits all those who are in Christ! Here are just a few other things the Bible tells us we will see and experience in heaven one day.
- First and best, Jesus will be there!
“And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.””
Acts 1:10-11 ESV
“In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.“
John 14:2–3 ESV
- The angels of God and the ones who watched over us throughout our lives will also be present.
“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”
Hebrews 1:14 NIV
“Then I [John] looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!””
Revelation 5:11-12 NIV
- And the perfect peace promised in God’s Word will be ours!
“‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.””
Revelation 21:4 NIV
Now isn’t that comforting? I’m not rushing it but it sure is a beautiful eternal future to look forward to. I pray that all who read this post knows for certain that you too will be there one day. If you don’t, I invite you to know for sure by accepting and following Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.“
John 3:16 ESV
“But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1:12 BSB
For now, I pray that you and I will fulfill His purpose for our lives. That we would bring him smiles each and everyday and that our lives will make positive difference in those we encounter.
So beautiful and soothing, Thank You! For sharing these truths… God bless You 💜💜
