Have you ever found yourself on a nice walk outside and it starts pouring…but you make it inside just in time?
Or it’s freezing outside, and you’re stuck in the snow when a friend comes along and helps get you moving?
Or it’s a work day full of stress and frustrating issues…and 5:00pm hits and now you’re on your way out to meet a friend or loved one for dinner at your favorite restaurant?

These are what I call joyful and peaceful places.
Wonderful moments of peace and calm. Like being in this above cave at sunset.
This is what time with Jesus, is to me. A place of refuge and peace.
Every time!
So why wouldn’t I want to share this information with those around me?
Why wouldn’t God want me and others to tell about this wonderful place…About Him?
“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
Mark 16:15-16 ESV
Jesus is telling us the truth but the barrier to many is the wall of “unbelief ” Truth waits on the other side of this wall.
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6 ESV

See, faith and belief must arrive first.
Then…He will reward you with understanding. He won’t leave you hanging without showing you the truth. He is not going to allow you to be ashamed.
“For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.””
Romans 10:11 ESV
Go ahead. Go ask anyone who follows Christ if He has let them down.
If you asked me, I would say never.
I have prayed many different times for many different situations over the years. God responds as a loving Father would…not a genie! He always has my best interest in view. But I have a responsibility too…walking according to His precepts, not in rebellion to them.
See, when you really love someone you won’t lead them astray. Ever! Even if it means rejection.
Jesus will only lead us in truth. Even if it hurts. So it’s up to us if we want the truth or if we want to hear….what we want to hear.
I want to hear the truth. Even if it hurts.
If only everyone knew how absolutely freeing it is to be submitted to God. To allow Him to make the path in front of them each day. Then watch how wonderful His plan is!
That’s my goal each day. I pray it is yours as well.
