Hello all. Happy Winter ☃️
It’s a beautiful crisp clear morning here in North Carolina. It’s still fall like here, and it’s December!
Mike and I love the weather here.

I’m sitting here reading my morning devotions. In Mark 10:14. The passage says Jesus was Indignant because they, His deciples, tried to woosh the kids away from the area to not interrupt. They thought the kids would be a bother. I suppose.
Ya know – like they should “be seen but not heard”.
Well Jesus was not having it. He corrected His deciples and said:
“But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.”
Mark 10:14-16 ESV

Bring the children to Jesus
This is a command from Him! He will teach them Himself. Their lives should be built up on the right foundation.
He even said that the Kingdom of God belongs to them.
““Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.””
Matthew 7:24-27 ESV

I went to a private school growing up until high school, and church on Sundays learning about the love of God. I know that this was the foundation that has led me to want to learn more about Him as I grew older. I’m grateful for this foundation my parents gave me. They certainly were not perfect, but they obeyed this command.
When I had my son Michael, I began to desire to go to church, again. I wanted him to have this foundation as well. So we did, and we brought both of our sons up in our faith. Knowing Jesus and His Words.
I trust what He says about it.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 ESV
Everyone must come to Jesus on their own. Their own free will. But we as parents and adults with children are responsible to bring them to Him and let Him do the rest.
Jesus has guided me all my life, through many twists and turns. Some I couldn’t control. Most from my own choices, but He never left me, not once. He is still guiding me and I trust Him to bring me all the way through. And my family too.

I pray for my sons and all whom they love as well as for all of you who read this post. That He will bring you through to the end.
Merry Christmas and blessings to you in the New Year✨
