It can be very profound when a truth hits your heart in a way it never did before.
Sometimes we can make an Idol of things or people in our lives.

Idealism can be an Idol.
The perfect environment .
The perfect conversation.
The perfect reaction.
I’ve been spending a lot of quiet time lately thinking and praying about this. Idealism is something I’ve struggled with.
There is no one, no place and nothing in this world that will fulfill the place in our hearts that is created for God alone. Some people will never believe this and it’s sad. They will go their entire lives thinking the next thing, or person will fulfill it. But It, and they, won’t, nor can they. There is no perfect person or situation in this world.
Sometimes we look to the ones closest to us to fulfill this place and it’s not fair to them to do this.
They cannot fill us because we were created for Him.

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”
Colossians 1:13-14, 16 ESV
It’s when we fully surrender all of our heart, dreams, aspirations, expectations…and all people to God, that we find fulfillment. There are millions and millions of people who would agree with this and yet, so many others reject this view.
Only when we receive and allow Him to show us this truth, will it be real to us. Jesus did everything that can be done to bring us back to the Father. It’s up to us to receive and believe. The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth. Jesus Himself promised us.
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”
John 16:13 ESV
Our fulfillment and peace come when we seek Him first. All other desires and joys come afterward.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33 ESV

Jesus is the only one whom we should look to for fulfillment…because He is the only answer to it.
Have a peaceful journey.
Blessings!
