If you can relate, please raise your hand. ✋

And the tests have been coming, one after another. I sure hope I’m getting a few good marks. Sometimes I wish I could walk up to the “Teachers desk” and ask Him how I did and what do I need to change, like we did as children in school. Ya know…get a quick answer, but it doesn’t work that way with our spiritual walk. Nope, It’s a walk of faith and endurance sprinkled with hope and trust! We won’t know right away how we did on a specific test, but God will never leave us without showing us exactly what we must submit to Him. The places in our heart that are still locked, maybe? Places that are still hurting.

”Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.“
1 Peter 5:6-7 ESV
We must not try to avoid what He is teaching us. It will only prolong the class and we don’t want to have to repeat the lesson…right?! So when we see it, realize it, and desire to be better, then we are to submit it to God…
“Submit”
to present or propose to another for review, consideration, or decision

So, now to the Joy…
We have an adversary who wants nothing better than to have us lose our faith, hope, trust and most of all, our joy in the midst of a test. Don’t let him! If we lose our joy, we can feel defeated. The joy of the Lord is our strength! It is not in anything or anyone! It is in God alone and He will reward us accordingly!
As I write this, my husband and I are awaiting the phone call from my son, Michael. When he calls with the code word “Pitterpatter” then, it’s a go! That will be the time for us to get in the car and head to North Carolina to meet our sweet Granddaughter for the first time. She is due May 12th (Mother’s Day) but she can arrive anytime now!
Yes, joy is coming that I really don’t understand yet, but have been told that having a Grandchild is amazing! We are super excited.
So Lord Jesus, thank you for the tests that have only made us stronger! Thank you that you always turn things around for our good, because we love you!

”And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.“
Romans 8:28 ESV
