Snow-Day

Happy snow-day to all you teachers and kids out there! What a great feeling it is to have to “stay home”

Although, some are not thrilled about it. Some will not enjoy the gift of stillness today, but will find things to fill up the time and be ever so busy through the day doing things…and will not take some quiet time to be still.

Being productive is a good thing but being so busy that you won’t stop….is another thing all together. Some will not tolerate a moment of quiet because it will cause them to think.

Yet, this type of day, is a gift. It doesn’t come very often.
It would be wise for us to take a little extra time with our coffee. Stay by the window and watch the snow, quietly. Listen to His voice…Read some Scriptures. We will hear Him speak to us, because he promised!

“When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. “Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” God’s Decree. “I’ll turn things around for you”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭13‬-MSG‬‬

God always keeps his word! The answers sometimes, and mostly, are not what we expect and that’s okay because He knows our future and has the best route.     Our part is to trust it…

How can you trust someone you don’t know very well? You won’t! Which is why we must spend a little time each day reading His word. This is where our trust grows and His faithfulness is shown.

”For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.“
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I pray we all get the chance to sit with Him today and receive love, guidance, wisdom and peace in the midst of this “Snow-Day”
