We all have things we are hoping for. We are all in the process of waiting for something or someone.

It could be a job promotion you’ve put in for, an application approval to a school you’ve wanted to go to. Maybe you’re hoping and waiting for a spouse or a good friend to enter your life. Whatever it is or whoever it is, if it’s not God’s plan for you, it’s not His best. Bu, if it is His good plan for you and you wait, guess what?! It’s coming, at its perfect time!
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
When we want what God wants for us, we are in for a wonderful surprise! You know why? Because whatever of what we are praying for is going to be given to us, just as the above Scripture states, but much better than we could ever imagine!
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.”
Isaiah 55:8 NKJV

The tough part of all this hoping and waiting is the trust factor!
I heard a song the other day with a profound line that really encouraged me and I totally agree with. It said “I don’t know what you’re doing right now, but, I know what you’ve done.” This has been absolutely true for me! God is always working things out for my best. I know this for sure! I believe this with all my heart. It doesn’t mean it’s easy to wait, but it does fill me with hope knowing how faithful He’s been in the past. You too can trust His heart toward your prayers.

Just like in any relationship, as time goes on and someone proves their love over and over, trust builds. It’s no different with God. He is true to His promises and will not leave us, even when we don’t “feel” He’s listening. He sees things we don’t and does not want us to walk into a pit of wrong decisions, but we sometimes do, don’t we? Yet even then, He turns it around for our good somehow.
“And we know that all things work together for good to thoseu who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NKJV

Let’s try and leave it up to God to plan the journey we are on. Let’s also remember all the good He has already done in our lives and closely watch how He answers our future prayers. Pay attention to when they are answered. It may be bit differently than how we asked. Then, compare His ideas next to ours.
The answer, or substance, that we’ve hoped for will always be much better than we could have imagined.
Have a great day!

Never stop praying!
