With a sad heart today, I’m praying for God’s comfort.
My heart is broken for my childhood friend Bizzy (Elizabeth), who this very moment is walking through the valley of the shadow of death. I cannot take this cross from her. All I can do is offer my prayers and hope for that better place, heaven, where there will be no more pain or crying.
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.””Revelation 21:3-4 NIV
When we were kids, all we did was laugh, especially her. She had the happiest face you will ever see. I call it, “The original smiling Irish eyes!” She was also the good one. She never did the wrong things. She would go home while the rest of us would go and be mischievous. I’ve always admired Bizzy. She was even a basketball star! She was an all-around fun, genuine, kind, and faithful friend. She turned out to be a wonderful teacher, like her Mom. All who have been privileged to know Bizzy will attest to her sweetness!
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.Romans 12:15
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.Psalm 147:3.
I wish I could take this from you, my friend. For now, I will pray that our Heavenly Father will hold you tight and give you the peace that passes all understanding.
I love you, Biz
