Christmas 2020

The year 2020 has brought different changes for all of us. Not just here or there but everywhere, lives have been changed in some way.

I’m sitting here at 6:00 am finishing my first cup of coffee and enjoying a quiet time looking at our cozy Christmas tree and the snow-babies I’ve collected over the years from family and friends.

Our son, Michael, came for a visit this weekend bearing gifts. The most precious gift that he brought his father and I was not in a box or a bag but was wrapped in a hoodie and a “Christmas mask!”

It was such a nice weekend hanging out together. We are grateful for him and very proud of the young man he has become. He, like the rest of us, is on a life journey. You’re doing well, Michael, just keep climbing son!♥️ If only we could all fully realize how precious the gift of love is! Nothing comes near to knowing that we are loved. Michael’s presence is more costly than anything material!

Christmas is a time when families get together. For some, it may be the only time of the year they get to see or speak to other family members. Yet, during this festive period of the year, some family members will not even seek each other out for reasons that won’t even matter later in life. Time does not wait for anyone.

Mankind has been given a gift from God. A very very costly gift. A gift that was wrapped and which came with instructions. Very simple, yet very profound. Without this gift we have no way back to the paradise we once enjoyed. We are lost without it.

I know people hear it over and over again, especially at Christmastime; The message about the gift of the Christ. Yet, so many still do not understand it. Only the Giver of life Himself can fully cause our minds and hearts to comprehend the truth about this gift. No one else can. But we can share our stories, experiences, and the very personal relationship we have with Him; Jesus, the gift of eternal life!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Can you imagine giving someone a very expensive and special present only to have them refuse it? Not even try to open it because they thought that if they did they would have to pay for it!?

It’s impossible to pay for the gift of salvation and eternal life. You must simply receive it and then He will explain all things in your heart. The Holy Spirit teaches and explains all things.

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

John 14:25 NIV

““If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.””

‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

May the greatest gift of all be invited into all of our lives . Merry Christmas!  I wish you all a very blessed coming year.  Thank you for joining me on this journey.

It has been a challenging year for all of us, in one way or another as we battle this pandemic. But as you shared your journals and reminded us of the important things in life, you kept me focused knowing that I am loved. Often when I am talking to my mom, who loves our Lord before anything or anyone, she always reminds me of whose daughter I am and to straighten my crown!!. Thank you for your words of encouragement and love, keep them coming. Merry Christmas and God’s love, grace and mercy will guide us through the new year. With love, Maria

    1. Dear Maria,

I love what your mom says!!! It’s so true. We belong to Heaven. Father, help us to keep our crowns on straight. 👸🏻

Me, I just want a tree, a cup of coffee and just sit with Him by a river. And….talk.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING MY JOURNEY Maria🎄🤗💕
